Case study — Branding
An artistic identity for a breaking competition — poster, trophy, banner and social content.
The Brake Dance Moon Runerz crew organizes Runnerz Rumble, a breaking competition, and needed an artistic identity to carry it: a poster, a banner, the winner's trophy, and a run of Instagram promo posts — all reading as one visual system.
The brief was open on style: Moonrunners wanted something inspired by other breaking events, leaning into a Street Fighter game aesthetic with the urban effects common to breakdancing flyers.

The poster set the tone for the whole identity — color, font, style — before anything else got designed. The first version leaned straight into a Street Fighter poster's pyramid of fighters and lettering. Later passes pushed the sponsor block to the bottom, darkened the subtext for a less fantastical read, and dialed the orange back to an accent color instead of the dominant one, so it stayed legible once real sponsor logos landed and the organization's name got added up top for an official feel.

Iteration 2
FinalA competition needs a trophy for its winners, and a banner to back the event itself. The banner stayed deliberately minimal so it could take a small “2” if the event ever got a second edition, without a redesign.

To pull people in ahead of the event, an Instagram presence teased the dancers, the DJ and the speaker — each post in the same art style as the logo, sized to the platform's square format and pairing a crew or dancer photo with their name.

RUNNERZ RUMBLE
One poster, refined across three real passes with the client, ended up carrying the whole event: printed on-site as a banner, engraved onto an acrylic trophy the winning crew got to take home, and echoed across a run of Instagram posts that filled the room before a single battle started.
